Are you a Mechanical Engineer looking to develop your career within a forward-thinking multi-disciplinary consultancy? Our client is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join their Nottingham office, working on a variety of building services projects across multiple sectors.
This role offers the opportunity to work on technically interesting projects while developing your design and consultancy skills within a supportive and collaborative engineering team.
The Role:
You will support the delivery of mechanical building services designs across a range of projects, ensuring solutions are technically robust, sustainable and aligned with client requirements and budgets. You will work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept through to completion.
Produce detailed mechanical designs and specifications for building services projects
Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high technical standard
Assist in developing cost-effective engineering solutions
Attend client meetings to help define project briefs and requirements
Prepare technical reports, review tenders, and provide recommendations
Conduct site inspections and prepare condition reports
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth project delivery
Utilise design software including AutoCAD, Revit, and IES
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
Experience in mechanical design within building services across multiple projects
Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD and Revit
Experience using IES or similar building services modelling software
Strong understanding of building services engineering principles and relevant regulations
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Ability to obtain UK SC Clearance (or currently hold active clearance)
