A leading enterprise storage provider is seeking a Sales Systems Engineer to help shape the future of storage, cybersecurity and hybrid multi-cloud solutions. With multiple industry accolades based on verified customer reviews, this company is recognised for innovation, performance and reliability in primary storage platforms.
Craft compelling technical presentations and narratives for diverse audiences including C-Suite executives, prospects and internal teams.
Provide deep technical insight into enterprise storage portfolios, including competitive analysis, product positioning and architectural design.
Understand customer environments through active listening and tailor solutions accordingly.
Proactively manage presales activities in collaboration with technical advisors and sales teams.
Act as the bridge between field sales and corporate functions such as engineering, support and leadership.
Handle RFP/RFI processes, conduct evaluations, lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) and develop architectural proposals and solution briefs.
Configure and install systems, including distributed computing, storage subsystems, virtualisation and memory architecture.
Ensure all configurations meet engineering guidelines for performance and sizing.
3+ years of pre-sales experience, ideally with a startup-oriented mindset.
Demonstrated ability to dynamically adjust technical messaging based on audience interaction.
Proven track record on quota-carrying teams, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Experience with SAN and NAS technologies (e.g., FC, NVMe, NFS, SMB, S3).
Knowledge of containers, virtualisation and modern backup solutions.
Self-starter with a proactive approach to expanding customer engagement and generating meetings.
Deep technical knowledge of enterprise application and system environments.
Exceptional active listening, collaboration and critical thinking skills.
