We’re recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an Operations Support Analyst at a leading UK energy company. This is a fantastic role for someone with strong analytical skills who wants to grow their career in the energy sector and work with a diverse portfolio of power generation assets including gas, batteries, wind, solar and hydrogen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and maintaining bespoke operational reports to support decision-making.
- Collecting, cleansing and analysing complex datasets.
- Working closely with data and digital teams to deliver actionable insights.
- Optimising the efficient and safe operation of energy assets.
- Producing reports that combine internal and external operational data.
- Contributing insights to operational team meetings and problem-solving initiatives.
- Supporting the integration of new systems such as EAM and Microsoft Fabric.
- Collaborating with senior leaders to ensure operational capabilities meet business needs.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong experience in data manipulation, reporting and analytics.
- Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python and CMMS systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- A team player who is proactive and calm in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Extras:
- Knowledge of high-speed reciprocating gas engines or technical operations experience in power generation.
- Familiarity with Pi Vision, industrial IT/telecoms, or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent experience in a data-focused role.
- Full driving license.
- 1-2 years + experience in a data analyst role in a fast-paced environment.
