Field Service Engineer – Retail (Field Based, Milton Keynes / Reading area)
Seeking a Field service engineer to work with a leading global provider of innovative weighing, slicing and labelling solutions who are looking to expand their UK Service team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, customer-focused engineer to join a company with a long history of innovation and strong international presence.
About the role:
- Provide first-class product support and service to retail customers.
- Diagnose faults, carry out maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with ISO9001 standards.
- Plan and deliver training sessions for both customers and internal teams.
- Investigate technical issues, warranty failures and in-field faults – resolving them quickly and cost-effectively.
- Maintain clear communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support out-of-hours service cover as required.
- Complete all administrative tasks to a high standard.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Electrically qualified (ONC/OND/HNC/HND or equivalent).
- Strong mechanical competence and problem-solving ability.
- IT literate with the ability to utilise modern technology to support customers and internal processes.
- Flexible, proactive and able to manage your own workload effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to represent the business professionally.
