Location: Travelling between 13 sites, residing in Lincolnshire would be a central point to most locations.
An industry-leading energy company seeking an experienced Area Operations Manager to oversee the operation and maintenance of flexible power generation sites across a designated region. This role involves managing a team of engineers, ensuring plant availability and efficiency and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Area Operations Manager and a motivated leader, to join a fast-growing energy company and play a key role in maintaining and optimising flexible power generation assets.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and support a team of Operations Engineers to optimise plant uptime and performance.

Ensure safe and efficient operation of gas reciprocating engines and battery storage systems.

Manage maintenance activities, including hands on support for complex repairs and parts including fleet.

Monitor operational performance against budgets and KPIs.

Oversee external contractors and suppliers.

Support the transition of newly constructed sites into operation.
Key Requirements

Strong engineering background, ideally with experience in MWM, MTU, Jenbacher or CATERPILLAR gas engines.

Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Hands on maintenance experience combined with strong administrative and reporting skills.

Familiarity with CMMS systems and data analytics in an engineering environment (desirable).

A qualification in Plant Engineering or a relevant discipline (ONC level or equivalent).

A full UK driving license and willingness to travel across multiple sites.
