A global leader in weighing, slicing and labelling solutions is seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to cover Scotland and Ireland. This role is ideal for a sales professional who excels at building high-level relationships, identifying opportunities and driving sustainable business growth in the industrial equipment sector.
About the role:
- Drive new business by achieving a targeted number of customer visits.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand the client base and increase sales revenue.
- Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders and departmental heads.
- Identify and convert new opportunities in target markets.
- Prepare quotations, maintain a strong pipeline and deliver product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
- Monitor competitor activity and provide market insights to the wider business.
- Consistently achieve quarterly and annual sales targets.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- A strong communicator with excellent listening skills.
- Confident in presenting value propositions and solution benefits.
- Organised, self-motivated and persistent.
- Skilled in problem solving and decision-making.
- Competitive, curious and passionate about driving results.
- Experienced in capital equipment or technology sales, ideally with exposure to PoS, dispensing, automation, refrigeration or labelling systems into retail or industrial markets.
